I’d actually go further and say that “Great” Britain is rapidly turning into “Grate” Britain…

It’s not bad enough that we get hit by the deepest recession in living memory, or that we are the last of the developed countries to exit from it, but in the process we are losing what little industry we have left to rebuild our economy.
Gradually we are farming off, offshoring, selling and even giving away everything that could help restore this country back to greatness.

It’s also good to know that there are a few of us die-hard Brits still out there willing to brave the recession and the offshoring to build a British company, with British employees, providing British expertise to other British companies.

I feel a chorus coming on:
“Rule Britania…Britania rules the waves……dum..dum..di…dum…..etc”

This discussion can be extended to include the question: what kind of a website is suitable for your business? Highlighting that, in theory, there is a suitable website design for every business, but not necessarily the same for all.

Thanks Jen for reminding us of the anniversary of this historic moment. It’s one that DBF have a special place for as our motto is “helping businesses fly”, and nobody has flown further than these guys!
It might also be worth noting that this week, the first interplanetary Internet node was opened on the International Space Station (ISS) – opening the Internet up to every “body”, everywhere… Maybe we can start planning now for our first “extra terrestrial” website design – it will have to be something special!
